SAN DIEGO (September 9, 2022) - Snapdragon Stadium announces brand new website (a Carbonhouse experience) and mobile application (developed by WMT Digital) to enhance user experience and information flow. The custom platforms emphasize clear communication, visual tools, mobile tickets, and event day resources.

The new website is a centralized resource for information about events and experiences, how to host an event and how to connect when visiting the venue.

As a leader in venue and entertainment website development, SDSU and OVG selected Carbonhouse to help craft a custom web experience.

“It was such a pleasure to work with the team at Snapdragon Stadium to create a new state-of-the-art digital experience for the San Diego community,” said Brandon Lucas, President of Carbonhouse. “The new website features an engaging and accessible digital platform for fans to discover events, plan their visits and get involved with all of the excitement surrounding the new stadium.”

A primary strategy for developing the website, users will be able to navigate the site quickly and efficiently for specific team or event information. With the ability to find event information in multiple locations, the addition of global footer quick links, specific call outs to items like bag policies and A-Z guides, and easily digestible infographics, the site provides critical information to help inform all patrons visiting the newly opened stadium.

In addition to an abundance of information, the site showcases event spaces and seating charts, stadium partners, food and beverage locations, mobile ticketing guides, sustainability efforts, and also directly pulls in social media feeds to the homepage.

SDSU and OVG worked closely with WMT Digital, a technology focused solutions agency, to ideate and develop a well-rounded mobile app to enhance fan experience and to provide constant relevant information.

The app directly links to Ticketmaster, allowing for easy ticket and information access. Keeping digital tickets in mind, the driving strategy behind the app was to provide convenience and efficiency for Aztec fans and event goers who are handling transactions and absorbing content from mobile devices more than ever before. The design is simple and clear, indicating separate pages for each tenant team and each event taking place.

"We can’t thank San Diego State enough for allowing us to be a small part of Snapdragon Stadium,” said Andres Focil, WMT Digital Founder and CEO. “Our company is about elevating story-telling and engagement with fans, which is an area of alignment with SDSU and their partners JMI, Legends and OVG. That leadership group has charged us with creating a customized mobile app that leans into the modern amenities of Snapdragon Stadium and helps optimize the experience for their university, their event partners and the vibrant community of San Diego.”

More features will soon be available, including an interactive wayfinding tool that will help guide guests starting at parking lots, extending through gates, and then directing to specific areas of the venue, such as particular seats or concessions. Another highlight being released soon is the Kaiser Permanente Thrive Selfie Path; a self-guided tour for fans to encourage physical fitness, learn more about the story telling elements in the stadium, and win prizes for visiting all of the 10 locations.

The Snapdragon Stadium mobile app is available for download in both the App Store and on Google Play.

Both the website and app adhere to accessibility best practices.
